Federal Contracts Manager

The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing controls, ensuring compliance with all applicable government acquisition regulations, negotiating contract terms and conditions, managing relationships with government contracting officials, providing expert advice and recommendations regarding contract law, FAR, DFAR, government contract best practices, protest procedures, soliciations procedures, and teaming agreements, and subcontracts.

Position Responsibilities:
-Hands-on production, development, review and tracking of all documents and data needed to support the company's contracting and subcontracting requirements.
-Review modifications, extensions and contract closeout documents.
-Monitor vendor performance and make recommendations for improvement when appropriate.
-Prepare and distribute reports and statistical data to facilitate planning and maintenance of accurate contract records and files.
-Coordinate with Program Managers and Project Managers to ensure all contracts are executed properly and in a manner that supports corporate goals and objectives.
-Ability to write, modify, and publish contractual documents abiding by parameters of FAR, DFAR, and industry best practices.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

-Bachelor's degree required with some Accounting and/or Business Management coursework. Master's or JD with concentration in Federal contracts preferred.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracts administration. At least 3 years of contract administration/managerial experience.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Strong understanding of Excel preferred.
-Extensive familiarity with teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, task orders, etc.
-Working knowledge of IAR, SCA, and GSA.
-Experience working with DCMA and DCAA.
-Demonstrated excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
-Exemplifies leadership in managing departments, groups of individuals, and managing contracts.
